Wheel Alignment
4 Wheel Alignment
Wheel alignment is a fundamental component to a car's performance. Whether you are looking to ensure the car is set exactly to manufacturers specifications, improve high speed stability, maximise tyre life, sharpen turn-in, or extract maximum grip on circuit, each car is setup with precise, specific settings to suit your application.
Road Car Alignments
Even when rolled straight off the production line, most vehicles we see are far away from the manufacturer's specification which means that your brand new performance car isn't actually performing as well as it's supposed to. Manufacturer specs are usually fairly conservative and designed to give a compromised mix of performance, comfort and drivability for the majority of drivers.
Our setup can either be exactly as the manufacturer intended or it can be tweaked slightly; specific to your driving style and the way you use the car. Think of it like when you press ‘Sport mode’ but the chassis is already in it.
Fast Road / FRSU
A fast road setup/FRSU is a wheel alignment configuration which is more aggressive with less compromise towards performance whilst remaining practical, comfortable, and safe for everyday use.
It sits between a standard road setup and a Track spec setup. The aim is to sharpen handling, improve mid corner stability and increase grip without the compromises that come with aggressive track/race geometry.
A factory standard car can still be setup more aggressively using the window of adjustability available to us or we use this opportunity to dial in a setup of a modified car with coilovers and adjustable camber/caster/toe arms which allow us a much larger window of adjustment to set the car exactly as we would like without compromise.
A fast road setup typically focuses on:
● Improved steering response and turn-in, making the car feel more precise and engaging
● Better balance and stability through corners and under braking
● Even tyre wear, ensuring performance gains do not reduce tyre life
● Predictable handling in all conditions, including wet roads and motorway driving
Geometry settings such as ride height, camber, toe, and caster are carefully adjusted within safe limits for road use, considering the car's suspension components, tyre choice, and how the driver uses the car.
Race Car / Track Spec Alignment
A track based car alignment is a suspension and geometry setup designed purely to maximise performance on circuit, where grip and balance at the limit are the priority. The aim is to deliver the best possible lap time, lap time consistency and complete driver confidence. Due to the aggressive nature of the setup, we would not advise you drive it on the road.
A track-spec alignment typically includes:
● Increased negative camber
● More aggressive toe settings to sharpen turn-in, improve car rotation and enhance stability under braking
● Optimised caster angles to increase mid corner grip and straight line stability
● Wheel base measurements
● Corner weighting to balance the car, ensuring consistent handling during all driver inputs
Every track alignment is tailored to:
● The specific car and suspension design
● Tyre type and compound
● Circuit characteristics
● Driving style and experience level
